Kanye West not happy with No. 7 ranking of MTV's 'Hottest MC's,' says people don't like 'Givenchy-Kanye' or 'Kanye in a relationship'

The “Hottest MC’s” list has been revealed, placing Kanye West at No. 7, and he isn’t happy about it.

In an interview with Hot 97's DJ Enuff, West expressed his dissatisfaction in not even making the top 5, and commenting on other rappers such as Lil Wayne and Big Sean, explaining “More than anything I’m happy for Sean," who came in at No. 6.

West blamed the ranking on the rap industry not liking that he’s in a relationship, and not liking his G.O.O.D Music compilation Cruel Summer, Global Grind reports.

He said, “number 7 bothers me because… I think that Wayne is the number 1 rapper in the world…” adding, “I just think he’s like… him, Jay, Em and certain people are just like the greatest RAPPERS of all time. For me, I feel like in order for them to put me in number 7 they had to bring up things that they didn’t like.”

As an example, he said “They didn’t like the Cruel Summer album. And, I’m like its a compilation. It ain’t all rappers on GOOD Music. I mean Cruel Summer got “Don’t Like (Remix),” “Mercy,” “Cold,” “New Gold Flow,” all on one joint.”

Citing his new image and relationship with Kim Kardashian, West said “They don’t like Givenchy-Kanye. They don’t like Kanye in a kilt. They don’t like Kanye in a relationship.”

Meanwhile, Lil Wayne tweeted about the compliment West gave him.
