Kristin Cavallari opens up about Jay Cutler witnessing the birth of their child

Kristin Cavallari of The Hills gave birth to her first child with fiance Jay Cutler in August, and now reveals what it was like to have him in the delivery room with her while she gave birth.

When Giuliana Rancic of E! asked Cavallari, "Was Jay right there watching? Or is he one of those guys who's squeamish?" she replied, "He held one of my legs! He was there!" reports US Weekly.

However, the 26-year old was hoping for things to go a bit differently. "I was like, 'You're going to be behind me. You're not going to see anything. And the nurse was like, 'Oh, no, no. He's going to hold your leg. I was like, 'Oh, no he's not.' She was like, 'It's different when it's your own.'"

She continued, "Well, at that point I'm like whatever. So he held my leg, he saw the whole thing."

Rancic joked, "He's not traumatized? He's okay?" to which Cavallari replied, "We're okay."

According to the Daily Mail, the couple is planning to get married this summer in Chicago. Cavallari says, "Everything is planned and ready to go, but that's all I'm going to tell you."

Of being a new mother, she says, 'Motherhood came very naturally to me. I'm enjoying every second. His personality is really starting to show. He’s such a happy, sweet baby. Every day is something new and exciting. Being a mom means being responsible for another life and it no longer being about you. It’s the most rewarding thing in the world."
