Just two days after Lil Wayne was sent to an L.A. hospital after suffering a seizure, sources close to the rapper reveal that the media frenzy speculating his imminent death were highly dramatized.
CNN reports that his condition is stable and fans should not be worried.
"He's good, just resting," said a close friend who visited the Grammy winner.
Although fans were shocked by reports that the “Love Me” rapper was nearing death, Lil Wayne tweeted his followers.
I'm good everybody. Thx for the prayers and love.

MTV News reached out to a medical expert to determine the cause of his seizures. Dr. Michael Privitera, a professor and the director of the Epilepsy Center at the University of Cincinnati Neuroscience Institute, speculated that either a genetic predisposition or the effects of Weezy’s codeine addiction may be the reason why a 30-year-old might suddenly develop an epileptic condition.
"Some people have unrecognized structural abnormalities in their brain or a prior history of trauma that is enough to create an electrical disturbance," Privitera said.
Privitera also noted that other “non-specific” irritants can also bring on seizures.
"Drugs and alcohol are traditionally the precipitators of seizures.”
Lil Wayne has admitted to battling an addiction to syrup, a blend of prescription-strength codeine cough medicine with a soft drink.
Despite the flurry of anxiety, Mack Maine, president of Lil Wayne’s Young Money label, tweeted that Weezy’s condition is far less serious than the reports.
We will be releasing an official statement shortly but dont believe the nonsense about comas and tubes to breathe...that's false!!
