Lindsay Lohan's attorney Mark Heller to seek plea deal in court

By Sarah Burbank-Douglas,

Although Lindsay Lohan will not appear in court Friday morning, her attorney Mark Heller will determine if taking a plea deal which could involve 90 days in a locked rehab center is the best option for his client.

As we previously reported, the 26-year-old actress is facing charges of lying to police, obstructing an officer and reckless driving following her June 2012 car accident.

According to LA Times, the L.A. city attorney will not accept a plea deal of less than 90 days due to the fact that Lohan is currently on probation for her 2011 jewelry theft case. If a deal is not reached, the case will go to prosecution on March 18.

Among the attempts Heller and Santa Monica city prosecutor Terry White may reach for include having Lohan perform community service hours, therapy, random drug tests in addition to speaking at schools, hospitals and other nonprofit organizations.

It is unclear if a judge will seek jail time.
