The premiere of Mad Men’s sixth season is just weeks away now, so AMC is getting fans hyped up (if they’re not already). The network has released a cool new poster and a short promo with interviews that give vague hints. But one thing is clear, we’re in for a lot of surprises at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce.
In the new video, creator Matthew Weiner promises that Season 6 will be "a real journey into learning" about Don Draper, played by Jon Hamm, reports Rolling Stone.
“It's a lot of our favorite characters doing a lot of different things,” Hamm added. “There are two parts of life – the part that is public and the part that is private.”
Jessica Pare, who plays Don’s wife Megan, promises that the season will be filled with unexpected moments.
“It's not what you think is coming,” she said. “It's not coming in the way you thought it was coming, and it's probably not coming at all.”
AMC also unveiled a new poster for the season, which shows that we will be following the two sides of Don’s life. It also shows the upheaval going on around him in the outside world, since the show is now moving into the turbulent late 1960s.
The poster was drawn by a real 1960s advertising man, Brian Saunders, reports The New York Times.
Mad Men’s sixth season premieres on April 7 with a two-hour episode.
