Michael Jordan has just recently applied for a marriage license in Palm Beach County, Florida ahead of his upcoming wedding to longtime girlfriend Yvette Prieto.
The couple are rumored to be making their relationship official on April 27. A court spokesperson confirmed to TMZ that they were there filling out paperwork for a license to do just that.
In 2007, Jordan finalized his divorce from ex-wife Juanita, giving her $168 million in the settlement, including a seven-acre estate in Chicago and custody of their three children.
Jordan was recently in the headlines for a paternity lawsuit, which was filed by Pamela Smith, who claims Jordan is the father of her 16-year-old son. However, that would’ve meant Jordan conceived the child while he was still married to Juanita.
The alleged son, Taj, said in a YouTube video in December, “I have some exclusive, exclusive information I feel like everybody should know. If you've been hearing any rumors on Twitter, Instagram, MediaTakeout, any of that...it's true. I'm his son. I've met him...I want him to be more in my life.”
Jordan has called the suit a “shameless, bad faith attempt to abuse the legal system.”
