Michael Jordan hit with lawsuit from woman who claims he’s the father of her 16-year-old son

By Daniel S Levine,

Basketball legend Michael Jordan, who just celebrated his 50th birthday, has been hit with a paternity lawsuit from a woman who claims that he fathered her 16-year-old son.

According to TMZ, Pamela Smith alleges that she and Jordan had sex in 1995, which resulted in her becoming pregnant. She filed the suit on Feb. 6 in Fulton County, Georgia, claiming that Grant Pierce Jay Jordan Reynolds, nicknamed Taj, is Jordan’s son. Taj was born in June 1996 and is now 16.

In her filing, Smith says she already took a paternity test, which positively identified the man some call the greatest basketball star of all time as Taj’s father. Smith wants Jordan to pay child support and have Taj’s last name legally changed to Jordan.

As The New York Post notes, the lawsuit comes after Taj posted a YouTube video, in which he says he is Jordan’s secret son.

“I have some exclusive, exclusive information I feel like everybody should know. If you've been hearing any rumors on Twitter, Instagram, MediaTakeout, any of that...it's true,” Taj says in the December video. “I'm his son. I've met him...I want him to be more in my life.”

Taj’s video has been viewed over 60,000 times. He has also posted music videos as Taj Tareef.

At the time he allegedly met with Smith, Jordan was married to Juanita Vanoy. He is now engaged to marry Yvette Prieto.

Jordan’s reps did not respond to TMZ’s request for comment.
