Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s rocky relationship remains steady in the headlines, but the two actors are reportedly talking in the hopes of working their differences out.

A source reveals to Us Weekly that the Lost Song costars are “talking” while Liam is in Australia visiting his family, but that the 23-year-old actor “needed a beat.”

The Hunger Games actor jetted off to his home country amid rumors that he and his fiancé of less than one year were calling it quits.

The 20-year-old former Disney starlet has slammed reports from the media that the two have split via Twitter, insisting that she is “so sick of LA. And sick of the lies that come with it. I didn't call off my wedding.”

She later stated that she was no longer addressing her personal life on Twitter and would only talk about music.

A source tells Us Weekly that Liam does not seem overly happy or sad to be back in Australia, just thrilled to be around his family. It is unclear when he plans to head back stateside, but has recently canceled his appearance for Empire State in Florida.
