A Disney World hotel was home to a tragedy after a 13-year-old boy was found at the bottom of the hotel's pool this Sunday.
According to The Daily Mail, the boy was vacationing with his family from Missouri, and were staying at Disney's Pop Century Resort.
After jumping around and playing in the hotel's pool, Anthony Johnson's cousins and friends realized he had been missing for several minutes, and spotted his body at the bottom of the 4-foot deep pool. Once Johnson's body was pulled out from the water, both his father and another standby-er, who happened to be a firefighter, administered CPR until an ambulance arrived.
CNN has reported that the boy died at the hospital on Tuesday morning.
Disney released a statement, saying, “We are saddened by Anthony Johnson's passing and our hearts go out to his family, friends and loved ones. We have reached out to his family to offer care and assistance during this difficult time."
While other details of the tragedy were not released, it was stated that the boy was found around 9:30 pm, when lifeguards are off duty, though multiple signs around the pool area state to swim at ones own risk.
