After being in seclusion for months following his presidential election defeat, Mitt Romney had his first television interview and used to it to criticize President Barack Obama and admit campaign mistakes.
In the interview with Fox News Sunday, Romney acknowledged his failure to win over minority voters in his election and admits to having made mistakes on the campaign trail.
Romney also criticized Obama and said, "It kills me not to be there, not to be in the White House doing what needs to be done.”
The former Massachusetts governor stated that he wished he had spent more time focusing on the issues instead of the politics during his election run. Romney said he would not run for president again.
According to Reuters, Romney has been secluded in his southern California home with his wife Ann since November.
Romney reflected on the loss in Ohio after he thought he was sure to win, saying “It's hard. It's emotional. I mean, there was such passion in the people who were helping us. I just felt, you know, we have really let them down.”
