'Modern Family' costars get stuck in hotel elevator, document their experience on Twitter (Video)

Modern Family costar Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet, Julie Brown and many others had a scare Friday when the costars and other passengers were stuck in an elevator for nearly one hour at the Kansas City Sheraton.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the stars were on their way to help with a fundraiser in Stonestreet’s hometown for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas

While there was nothing to do in the elevator but hurry up and wait, Ferguson opted to take to Twitter to pass the time. Among the things posted were photographs and videos of the MF group attempting to stay calm and have fun.

“This is us right now. 45 mins stuck in this elevator,” Ferguson wrote along with a photo, as seen above.

Prior to that, at the 35 minute mark, the group started a “vine” of a “Get us out!” video.

Ferguson shared another video of the firemen helping the passengers out of the stuck elevator. Ferguson is seen videoing the rescue and naturally making jokes along the way.

Along with the video he writes, “Finally made it out of the stuck elevator at the one hour mark. At least the firemen in K.C. are cute."
