'Modern Family' star Jesse Tyler Ferguson shares upcoming wedding details

Jesse Tyler Ferguson, known for his role on ABC's award-winning hit Modern Family, is sharing some details about his upcoming summer wedding to fiancee Justin Mikita. The couple dated for two years, and became engaged during a vacation last July in Mexico.

The actor, 37, told People, “We are in the middle of wedding planning. It's a process, but it's been a lot of fun.” While the couple are very hands-on with the planning, he added, “We have a really great wedding planner who is managing everything. It's been very exciting. I'm very picky about things, and everything is coming together nicely. No Groomzilla here.”

Mikita shared, “We're trying to bring a cool vibe...[but], it's going to be a small ceremony.”

Besides filming for Modern Family, Ferguson and Mikita, who is a lawyer, have teamed up to release a bow-tie line, which doubles as a charity titled Tie the Knot. All proceeds are donated to charities devoted to marriage equality.

The Huffington Post reports Ferguson said, “For Tie the Knot, we’re giving funds to the trenches fighting the battle, whether it be [Human Rights Campaign] or another firm. The star added that working together “has only helped and made our relationship and our love for each other grow.”

Mikita, 27, noted, “We both bring a lot to the table and help each other in many ways, and I think that's the reason why it's right."
