Despite previous reports, Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent are not having a baby through a surrogate.
The New York Post reported last month that Berkus, Oprah Winfrey's decorator, and Brent, Rachel Zoe's ex-assistant, were hoping to use a surrogate to have a child.
Brent apparently said that he wanted to have a boy, stating, “I wouldn’t know how to deal with a little girl."
However, sources are now telling Us Weekly that this is not the case. "There is no truth to the rumor," says Berkus' rep. "There is no surrogate and no plans for a baby at this time."
The couple were first reported to be dating in December 2012 when the New York Post reported that the two were at Barney's on Madison Avenue in New York "kissing at the sunglass rack in the men's section.”
Berkus also recently moved to Los Angeles to be closer to Brent after his TV show ended after two seasons. Berkus told Oprah he was glad to be done with the show, reports Us Weekly. "I felt exhausted. I gained 20 pounds. I felt unhealthy. I felt there was no way I could do a good job."
