National Enquirer claims Sofia Vergara expecting child via surrogate

New pregnancy rumors have surfaced, stating that Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara and fiancé Nick Loeb are expecting a baby via surrogate.

According to Huffington Post, the National Enquirer is reporting that the 40-year-old beauty’s absence from the Academy Awards wasn’t because she was having plastic surgery or because she had the flu. Instead, it was because she was meeting a friend who will act a surrogate for her and Loeb’s future child.

The National Enquirer claims that the friend is currently with child, adding that the idea to have a child was Loeb’s. Vergara has a 20-year-old son from a previous relationship.

The report claims that Vergara was with the friend in the hospital over the Oscar weekend as the friend began feeling pains and feared a miscarriage. A source claims, “After several hours, it was de-termined that the baby was fine, and so was the surrogate mom. thanked God that everything was OK.”

Loeb, a businessman, proposed to the sultry actress in Mexico on her 40th birthday.

The pair have not announced a wedding date at this time. Additionally, a rep for the couple have not commented on the claims made by National Enquirer.
