Nicki Minaj spoke with reporters on Monday and revealed who she sees as a potential winner of her first season as an American Idol judge. She also said that she is confident that another guy is not going to win the show.
According to USA Today, Minaj believes that Kree Harrison, Angie Miller and Candice Glover are the ones with the best chance to come out on top. “I would say Kree and Angie are the front-runner,” she explained. “Kree, Angie and Candice. I think that, outside of their voices, they've won people over already, which I think is evident in just what I see on Twitter with my fans. Those three seem to have really made an impact.”
While she was disappointed to see Curtis Finch Jr. get eliminated, when asked if another guy was going to win, she said there was no chance, notes MJSBigBlog.com. “No. Absolutely not,” she said.
If she could collaborate with any contestant, it would be Burnell Taylor, since he “has a John Legend thing.”
Minaj didn’t say much about returning for Idol’s 13th season, if there is one. “Would I come back next season? I think people would rather be surprised,” she said, reports MTV News. “I like to save the mystery and the drama. I'd never give that away. I always say this and I mean it from the bottom of my heart, just that people behind the scenes at Idol have been a dream to work with. I'm just super grateful to have been given the opportunity.”
