One Direction fans attack Liam Payne’s parents house

By Lena Finkel,

This is certainly one radio contest gone horribly, horribly wrong. In an attempt to give away two free tickets to the sold-out One Direction concert, the U.K’s Free Radio station accidentally sent frantic fans to Liam’s childhood home.

According to E! Online, the radio show was giving out clues as to where fans could find these hidden tickets. One of these clues read, “They are close to somewhere beautiful” that “could have been an ancient burial site.”

Clearly that meant Liam’s house because about 100 fans quickly ran over to the Paynes’ to inspect their yard. But as it turned out, the fans were all just confused because the tickets weren’t hidden there at all!

Digital Spy reports that Liam’s father Geoff told The Sun, “I'm much better now that the competition is over. I've had people loitering around the house for days on end now. I'm glad someone won it. There have been people hiding round corners looking for them.”

Poor Mr. Payne!

The station was kind enough to apologize to the Payne family “wholeheartedly” and luckily “Geoff saw the funny side of it,” according to a source for the Sun.

It certainly can’t be the first time crazed fans have come to the house! Fans do seem to be quite in love with Liam after all and even sent death threats to his new puppy. Liam bought the puppy just a bit ago with his recently-reunited girlfriend.
