Poll looks at men and women against the aging process

By Deana DeLisio,

Apparently women are having more of an issue with the aging process.

A national poll for 2,000 U.S. adults has been conducted asking opinions on beauty, sex appeal and celebrities, as stated in The Huffington Post.

Ninety percent of people feel that woman are under more pressure to halt the aging process. In addition to this, men are found more attractive at an older age and are considered old five years after a woman is, reported Reuters.

Other results of the poll stated that 63 percent of men choose to color their hair for the young look while only 36 percent of women choose this option. Forty three percent of women are looking forward to anti-aging injections while only eighteen percent of men say they are considering it.

Celebrities like Jamie Lee Curtis and Julia Roberts ranked high on the top choices of celebrities that have aged well.

However, receiving more recognition was George Clooney, Sean Connery, Bill Clinton and Brad Pitt.

"Leading men in Hollywood, they are portrayed as sex symbols well into their 70s. Sean Connery is a perfect example," said Kristen Perrotta, executive editor of Allure magazine. "Unfortunately, although we do have many female stars who are continuing to grab major roles as they get older, they are less likely to be portrayed as a sex symbol."
