'Pretty Little Liars' star Ashley Benson confirms and talks about her breakup with Ryan Good

While there have been plenty of rumors about Spring Breakers costars Ashley Benson and James Franco coupling up, in a recent interview the actress talks about her breakup with her boyfriend of one year, Ryan Good.

Benson, who is Seventeen magazine's April cover girl, opened up to the mag about her past relationship with Ryan Good. Apparently the two called it quits after more than a year together in late 2012. However, neither of them ever confirmed the split until now.

The Pretty Little Liars star shared, “Ryan and I are still close, but I'm too young to be in a serious relationship. Work is my boyfriend!" Besides being on of the stars of ABC Family's hit, Benson recently starred alongside pals Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens in the risqué film Spring Breakers.

Us Weekly reports that ex Good is close friends with Justin Bieber and works as one of his producers as well as being the singer's “swagger coach.”

The actress mentions that one of the reasons behind the split was due to her desire to focus more on her independence. Benson said, “I've always been in relationships, and I knew I needed to learn to be comfortable alone.”

Although the star isn't actively looking for love, she shares that if the right person came along, then she would trust her heart. "If it happens, it happens. I'm 23 -- I could have a boyfriend tomorrow. But relationships are scary, because once you're in one, you have to face the idea of breaking up or staying together forever.”

Most recently Benson has been linked to James Franco, 34, though both stars deny any romance.
