Rihanna's tour buses were stopped at the border of Detroit, Michigan and Canada, Wednesday morning, and law enforcement found weed on one of the vehicles.
Investigators stopped the 10 tour buses on Ambassador Bridge, which separates Windsor, Canada and Detroit, TMZ reported. Drug-sniffing dogs smelled marijuana on one of the vehicles, which prompted the rest of the buses to be searched.
A small amount of marijuana was found on a male suspect, and he was cited for a civil infraction, New York Daily News noted.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesperson Kris Grogan said, "One of our border protection officers referred the caravan for inspection due to a strong odor of marijuana. The canine did alert on quite a few of the buses, but it was only that small amount found."
Grogan confirmed that Rihanna was not on board any of the vehicles.
She is scheduled to perform in Detroit's Joe Louis Arena Thursday night.
As for Rihanna, she is known to be fond of cannabis. In the music video for her single "Diamonds," she is seen smoking a blunt.
