Rihanna granted 3 year restraining order against home intruder

By Sarah McClanahan,

A judge gave Rihanna three years of protection against a man who broke into her neighbor’s home and stole property.

In late February, we reported that Rihanna requested a permanent restraining order against an obsessive fan, Steveland Barrow.

Barrow was arrested last month for trespassing, breaking into a Los Angeles home that he thought belonged to Rihanna. He stole several items and even slept in one of the beds. However, he claimed that he was actually invited inside.

Rihanna feared for her safety, worried that Barrow would go to great lengths to come in contact with her again, especially considering his whereabouts were unknown after he was released from custody.

Barrow was to temporarily be at least 100 yards away from Rihanna at all times until the March 21 hearing, but Rihanna did not feel as though this was adequate.

According to TMZ, the judge granted her request for a stricter sentence in court on Thursday. Now, Barrow is obligated to keep his distance from the singer for a period of three years.

I'm sure Rihanna is hoping Barrow will "stay" away for good.
