Former Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker wasn’t shy about sharing her mixed feelings toward CW’s prequel series, The Carrie Diaries.
According to Daily Mail, Parker revealed in a recent interview with Net-A-Porter's The Edit that she was a bit uncertain what to think of the show’s concept.
“I’m not sure. You know, I think it’s one of those tests of your generosity,” Parker said. “She (AnnaSophia Robb) is a lovely girl and I want her to feel good about it, but it’s… odd.”
The series focuses on Carrie Bradshaw in her younger days, according to Us Weekly, who is played by 19-year-old Robb.
In a previous interview with Teen Vogue, the actress shared some background on why she was so interested in the part.
"I realized it was actually a really strong story," Robb revealed. "It had a lot of heart and integrity, and Carrie seems like a character that I can grow with."
The Carrie Diaries airs Mondays on the CW.
