The British invasion isn’t ending with One Direction.
British girl band The Saturdays are making a name for themselves here in America, thanks to their hit E! reality series, Chasing the Saturdays.
The five part girl group spoke to MTV News about what it means to be a girl band and how they want to succeed in world domination.
“We always say 'world domination.' So we want to kind of step by step make everyone be into girl bands, not just boy bands," says Rochelle Humes.
The ladies spoke about how their fans are drastically different from fans of boy bands.
“It's different sort of like appreciation. They'd like to maybe dance along with us, but they're not screaming outside our hotel room,” says Humes.
It’s been a whirlwind few months for The Saturdays. According to The Sun, the ladies played to their most star studded audience yet at The Golden Globes and that their first headline show at The Roxy was sold out.
The Saturdays are paving the way for other British girl bands such as Little Mix whose single “Wings” just hit the US ground.
In the words of another famous girl group, The Spice Girls, girl power is back.
