Shailene Woodley might be taking a trip back to the big screen.
The Secret Life of the American Teenager star is allegedly starring in the book to movie adaption of John Green’s YA novel The Fault in Our Stars, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The author of the best selling novel, John Green, has hinted on social media that Woodley was in the running to play the lead role of Hazel and now it’s being reported that the rumors are true.
The Fault in Our Stars centers around a teenager Hazel Lancaster who has been diagnosed with cancer. She attends a cancer support group where she meets Augustus, a boy that helps her through the tough time.
According to EW, John Boone is directing the film and he had only wonderful things to say about Woodley.
“Over 250 girls read for the part, but it wasn’t until Shailene stepped in front of the camera that I truly saw Hazel for the first time. It was like lightning striking.”
There has not been any other casting news about Stars but Shailene is a nice start.
