Reality star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi gave birth to her first child, baby boy Lorenzo, last summer. Since the birth of her son, the 25-year-old has been working to get back her pre-baby body .
The 4’ 9” star is feeling “awesome” these days. She lost a total of 42 pounds since Lorenzo’s birth, and she recently revealed her super-slim post-baby body on the cover of Us Weekly. She appeared on Today on Tuesday and revealed how she dropped the baby weight.
"The first 20 [pounds] came [off] from just breastfeeding, so that was awesome," she said during her interview with Matt Lauer, according to E! Online. "But then I had to wait until I could work out, which was six weeks, and then I just went straight to the gym. I work with a trainer, one of my good friends Anthony, so he basically just kicked my butt into shape and he gave me these express meals which [don't] have a lot of calories."
Snooki, who says her hard partying days are over, also cut out drinking too much alcohol.
She explains, "It's hard to drink while taking care of a baby, so I don't drink at all, really. When I do drink, I get drunk off of like three sips, so it's actually good.”
Snooki worked hard to become a "fit mom." In addition to working out for herself, she also told Us Weekly that she dropped the baby weight for her fiancé, Jionni LaValle, too.
"Even though I'm busy with Lorenzo all the time, I still want to look good for Jionni, 'cause I don't want him to run away ever from me," she said.
