Taylor Swift’s new Vanity Fair interview is providing the media with plenty of nuggets about her, including an interesting response when asked if she really did buy a house near the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port, Mass. while she dated Conor Kennedy. In typical Swift fashion, she didn’t give a yes or a no, but the magazine found that someone linked to her did buy a really expensive house in the area and she has already sold the property.
“People say that about me, that I apparently buy houses near every boy I like—that’s a thing that I apparently do,” Swift told Vanity Fair. “If I like you I will apparently buy up the real-estate market just to freak you out so you leave me.”
The magazine notes that a company called Ocean Drive LLC did reportedly buy a Cape Cod home for $4.8 million, with the name Jesse P. Schaudies of Swift’s management on the papers. Now, E! News is reporting that Swift, who has since broken up with Conor, sold the house for $5,675,000 to a couple.
“I never physically met her, but she has obviously an entourage of people that represent her,” realtor Bob Kinlin told E! News. “And the property did close for $4.8 million.” Kinlin confirmed that the house was sold just two weeks ago and that Swift had the house for just seven months.
“It was like a house-flip,” another source told Vanity Fair. “A good short-term investment.”
“One of these things I say to myself to calm myself down when I feel like it’s all too much,” Swift told Vanity Fair. “If there’s a pregnancy rumor, people will find out it’s not true when you wind up not being pregnant, like nine months from now, and if there’s a house rumor, they’ll find out it’s not true when you are actively not ever spotted at that house.”
The other part of the interview that is making headlines is Swift’s harsh words for Amy Poehler and Tina Fey.
