By Sarah Burbank-Douglas,

Taylor Swift kicks off her Red Tour tour tomorrow, but first the Grammy award winning singer stopped by to visit one of her biggest fans at Omaha’s Children’s Hospital & Medical Center.

According to E! News , the 23-year-old singer visited 10-year-old Lauren Hacker, who suffers from acute myelocytic leukemia.

Omaha World-Herald reports her parents set up a YouTube video in the hopes of seeking out the “I Knew You Were Trouble” singer.

The video is titled “Come See Lauren Please,” and has “You Belong with Me” in the background with the words cleverly changed.

The video made its way, having been viewed well over 9,000 times. Lauren’s parents were in contact with Swift’s team and got the meeting set up. Swift was able to spend an hour with the fifth grader. Lauren’s father, Phil Hacker, wrote about the experience on Lauren’s Caring Bridge Blog.

“Taylor Swift stopped by Lauren's room at the hospital around 1 p.m. in the afternoon. She spent about an hour chatting with Lauren…Lauren got in on the act and played a song on the electronic piano keyboard that she got for her birthday,” he writes.

"Taylor shared stories from her childhood as she was getting her start as an entertainer…” he continued. “Just before she had to leave, Taylor got out a bag of goodies for Lauren and provided autographs on notebooks, photographs and guitar picks…It was a great afternoon for everyone and I'm sure Lauren will remember it for many years to come."
