Many celebrities have chimed in on the conversation about Beyonce’s latest song, “Bown Down/I Been On.” While Keyshia Cole and Rush Limbaugh have been among those criticizing it, rapper T.I. and his wife Tiny are defending it.
T.I. admits that he hasn’t heard it, but has heard about the lyrics and praises her for being honest.
“I haven't even heard it," he told E! News. "But my guy, Trae the Truth, he actually called me and told me somethin' about it, but I hadn't heard it myself."
He also admitted he didn’t know what all the hype was about, but stood behind Beyonce regardless. "B is the epitome of success, pretty much embodies everything that it is to be upper echelon performer," he said.
His wife, Tiny, filled him in that "it's aggressive and she's cussin'…it's very edgy."
But he still supported it. “As artists, as long as we are being true and honest to our hearts and what we really feel, that's what we owe the people,” he said. “[Beyoncé] shouldn't be apologetic about it. We owe it to the people to give our true feelings because that's where the best music should derive from—your sincerest, passionate feelings."
Limbaugh, however, claims Beyonce has “done a 180.”
