When most people think about St. Patrick’s Day, they think about St. Patty’s Day parades, beer, and green everywhere. When we think about St. Patrick’s Day, we think about all of the beautiful Irish men that the world has been blessed with. So before the St. Patrick’s Day festivities begin, let’s take a look at the top 10 hottest men who are of Irish heritage.
10. Liam Neeson
Liam Neeson, the 60-year-old actor who grew up in Ireland, is the epitome of an Irish man. After growing into an Irish lad, Neeson took over Hollywood and can be seen in countless movies including Taken, Schindler's List, and Batman Begins. Liam’s badass roles and Irish looks earn him the spot as the number ten hottest Irish man.
9. Stuart Townsend
Stuart Townsend is an Irish actor who is most famous for his role in The League of Extraordinary Men. Townsend has also played other roles here and there, but he caught the eye of many when he stepped out as Charlize Theron’s new boy in 2002. The couple has since parted ways, however, we can’t help but to think if Stuart’s Irish roots were what caught Charlize’s attention.
8. Daniel Day-Lewis
Even though Daniel Day-Lewis is one of two actors on our list who was not born in Ireland, Daniel is of Irish decent from his father’s side. However Daniel, who was born in England, has played roles in which he has an Irish accent and Day-Lewis became an Irish citizen in 1993. Daniel Day-Lewis has become a widely respected actor, most recently earning the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in Lincoln. He earns the spot for the eight hottest Irish man.
7. Michael Fassbender
Michael Fassbender is the other actor on our list who was not born in Ireland. Fassbender moved to the Republic of Ireland when he was two years old and went on to become an actor who can be seen in movies such as Inglorious Basterds, X-Men and Prometheus. At 35-years-old, Michael Fassbender is one hot Irish man!
6. Cillian Murphy
Cillian Murphy, the 36-year-old actor who was born in Ireland, is known for his role in the hit movie Inception. Between Murphy’s Irish accent and well-known beautiful blue eyes, Cillian Murphy earns his spot at the sixth hottest Irish man.
Bono, the Irish singer and frontman of the Irish band U2, has been known as a heartthrob for years. Not only is Bono good looking, but he is a Man of Peace award winner and a worldwide superstar. With his rock-star good looks, and his heart of gold, Bono earns his spot as the number five hottest Irish man.
4. Johnathan Rhys Meyers
Johnathan Rhys Meyers, the Dublin, Ireland born actor is best known for his roles in Mission Impossible III, Bend It Like Beckham and Elvis. Johnathan has had his run-ins with the law, including getting kicked off of American Airlines for being a belligerent drunk, but we think that only boosts his bad boy, Irish image. With that, Johnathan Rhys Meyers earns the number four spot on the Top 10 Hottest Irish Men.
3. Danny O’Donoghue
Danny O’Donoghue was born in Dublin, Ireland and went on to become the front man of the Irish band The Script. Along with being in the band, Danny is judge on the UK version of The Voice. Danny’s beautiful singing voice and boy-band looks earns him the spot as the third hottest Irish man.
2. Pierce Brosnan
Pierce Brosnan, who gained fame for his role in Remington Steele was born in Ireland in 1953. After his breakout role, Pierce went on to star in many movies and then most notably in James Bond. Not only is Pierce one of the most handsome men in Hollywood, he is the second hottest Irish man on our list.
1. Collin Farrel
Collin Farrel. He happens to be one of the widest known Irish actors and the most handsome, in our opinion. He was born in Dublin, Ireland and became an actor who is known for his roles in Tigerland, Phone Booth, S.W.A.T and The Recruit. Aside from his acting skills, Collin is known among the ladies for his great looks. Collin’s bad boy attitude and handsome looks earns him the spot as THE hottest Irish man.
