The Mary Tyler Moore star has three months to live

Some sad news had hit Hollywood today.

Beloved actress Valerie Harper has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, according to USA Today.

Harper is best known for her role as the hysterical Rhoda Morgenstern on The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

The actress is 73 years old and was told by doctors that she only has three months to live. She received this news a little less than two months ago on January 15.

Harper told People Magazine that she is going into her last days with a good attitude.

“I don’t think of dying. I think of being here now.”

She went in for a series of tests that revealed that she had leptomeningeal carcinomatosis which is a condition where cancer cells spread across the brain membrane.

Harper will appear on the cover of People Magazine this week where she was interviewed about what this entire experience has done to her.

This isn’t the first time Harper has had to deal with cancer. In 2009 she was diagnosed with lung cancer.
