Willem Dafoe gets digitized for Playstation’s ‘Beyond: Two Souls’ with Ellen Page (Video)

By Daniel S Levine,

Sony and video game designer David Cage’s Quantic Dream studio gave fans a surprise today, revealing a new video for the anticipated Beyond: Two Souls that stars Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe.

Dafoe isn’t the only big-name star in the game. According to Entertainment Weekly, when the game was announced last summer, Ellen Page was announced as the star. While the plot of the game is mostly unknown, it appears that Dafoe plays a researcher, named Nathan Dawkins, who plays a role in Jodie’s (Page) life in childhood and as an adult.

In addition to the teaser, Sony posted a behind-the-scenes featurette with Dafoe. It also includes footage of the Platoon actor wearing the motion capture suit that allows animators to bring his performance to the digital realm.

Warp Zoned also reports that Sony confirmed that the game will be released on Oct. 8. Quantic also announced plenty of bonus goodies for fans that pre-order the game, including a 30-minute exclusive scene for GameStop customers. A Special Edition will also include a steelbook package, behind-the-scenes features and the game’s soundtrack.
