You never really know where William Shatner will pop up. The former Star Trek star surprised fans with an appearance at the Oscars and will now make a guest appearance for singer Brian Evans’ latest music video.
People reports that The Shat visited the historic Fenway Park in Boston to star in Evans’ video for “At Fenway,” inspired by the home of the Red Sox. Shatner guest stars as an umpire, while local car dealership owner Ernie Boch, Jr. stars as a Red Sox manager. Evans also recruited his late mother, Helen Bousquet, for an appearance.
According to Boston.com, “At Fenway” will appear on Evans’ album of the same name, along with 10 other songs. The video is also included on a DVD with the video.
The video was shot during a Sox game in September and was approved by Major League Baseball.
“It was a day I'll never forget,” Evans said.
He added, “Shatner as the home plate umpire is as iconic as the ballpark itself.” This was apparently the Enterprise captain’s first visit to Fenway.
The video will be released on April 1, but you can check out the trailer:
