Six months ago, Wynonna Judd and husband Chris Moser were involved in a tragic motorcycle accident, resulting in the loss of one of Moser's legs.
The couple, having only been married for two months at the time, were out together on separate motorcycles before one of 48-year old Judd's concerts when 58-year old Moser crashed into an oncoming vehicle.
Judd's publicist said in a statement, "Moser's left leg was severed at the scene of the accident and doctors in Rapid City, South Dakota, amputated the leg above the knee. He has also undergone surgery to his hand," CNN reported.
Now, Judd and Moser are opening up about the life altering incident. Judd told US Weekly, "I remember standing over Cactus, wondering whether he was alive or not. I kept saying to myself, 'Be calm, be calm.' When I realized he was still alive, I noticed the leg was gone. I saw remnants of it, um, all over the highway. I just stood there, trying to make sense of it all."
Although living through the experience has strengthened them as a couple, Moser reveals that they still have a hard time with it. "We're living two different realities. We learned to respect that we each have our own pain."
The full interview with US Weekly is on stands this Friday.
