Oz, the Great and Powerful actor Zach Braff gets recognized often, but not always for being himself.
The 37-year old, famous for his roles on Scrubs and Garden State, revealed to Extra that he often gets mistaken for other celebrities, stating, “I get Anne Hathaway's ex-boyfriend. I get Dax Shepard, Ray Romano. Once Anne’s dad saw me at a premiere and gave me this look for a second like he was going to tackle me because I guess he wasn't the best ex-boyfriend.”
Anne's ex, Raffaello Follieri, happens to be a conman who spent time in prison for fraud. The two dated for about four years and Follieri racked up over $3.6 million in debt along the way, as reported by the Huffington Post.
Braff joked, “But I quickly let him know that it was just me, Dax Shepard.”
He went on, "I think there's like a BlogSpot on the web that's like menwholooklikezachbraff.com or something like that."
In Oz, the Great and Powerful, Braff plays Frank, the circus assistant, along with the voice of Finley, a monkey who becomes Oz's companion.
Braff reveals that bringing the animated monkey to life was a difficult task and physically demanding at times. Since Braff's character shares the screen with Oz, he worked right alongside James Franco, wearing a bodysuit that allowed him to stand in as Finley and later be replaced by special affects.
Braff explains, “What I was doing for the most part was just wearing this blue screen onesie — super sexy pajamas — that they could literally paint out, and I’m crouching down on the ground acting that part out," reports the Los Angeles Times.
