Bradley Cooper will be replacing Jude Law’s role as the main villain alongside Natalie Portman in the western film Jane Got a Gun.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jude Law decided to step away from the independent film last month after director Lynn Ramsay left the project. Rumors spread that Ramsay failed to show up for work on the first day of filming. Gavin O’Connor will now be the movie’s director. Production will take place in New Mexico.
The film stars Portman, who plays the role of a farmer’s wife whose husband returns home almost dead after his gang of bandits turned on him. Portman’s character must team up with her ex in order to defend herself against the gang.
According to The Guardian, many prominent figures working on the film have already left. Cooper will be shooting his scenes in the latter part of filming. He’s currently working on David O’Russell’s film based on the real-life Abscam that occurred in the '70s.
