NASCAR racer Danica Patrick's marriage of seven years to physical therapist Paul Hospenthal is officially over, according to documents acquired by ESPN recently.
A judge signed the consent decree on April 15 and filed two days later, ESPN reports.
According to Us Weekly, 31-year-old Patrick announced her divorce in November of last year, the day after she was named the most popular driver in the Nationwide Series.
She wrote in a Facebook post on November 20, "I am sad to inform my fans that after seven years, Paul and I have decided to amicably end our marriage. This isn't easy for either of us, but mutually it has come to this. He has been an important person and friend in my life and that's how we will remain moving forward."
The couple had a clean break with a prenup and an agreement that neither was at fault. Court documents stated that they "participated in the mediation process in order to arrive at a fair and equitable settlement," Us reports.
Patrick has been openly seeing 25-year-old NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. since the split. Stenhouse said to the crowd at Bristol Motor Speedway in March, "Sorry guys, she's taken."
