Another man is suing Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash in what will be his fifth lawsuit.
According to USA Today, Kevin Kiadii is accusing Clash, 52, of sexual abuse. The man claims that he was 16 when the voice of Sesame Street’s Elmo met him in a chat room online in 2004.
According to The Baltimore Sun, Kiadii said that Clash sent a car to pick him up in Brooklyn and gave him alcohol and showered him with affection. The sex was consensual, however, Kiadii says that he was not psychologically or emotionally mature enough for the interaction.
The damages sought in the New York lawsuit have not been disclosed. Miami attorney Jeff Herman, who is representing the four others who have filed against Clash in the past several months, will also be representing Kiadii. The first man that alleged to have a relationship with Clash was Sheldon Stephens, who filed a lawsuit in November.
Clash resigned from his position as Elmo after a second allegation was claimed against him. He has denied all charges.
