The ultimate sign that you've joined the Hollywood elite: getting cast in a Woody Allen movie. Emma Stone could accomplish that feat, since she is reportedly in talks to join the acclaimed filmmaker’s next project.
Deadline broke the news on Tuesday, reporting that Stone will star as the leading lady in the project. No plot details have been released, which is typical for any Allen project. While the site reports that he will be returning to France for the film, Variety claims that it will be filmed in Spain this summer. Both countries have been great for Allen, since his last two big hits - Vicky Cristina Barcelona and Midnight in Paris - were set in Spain and France, respectively.
The Wrap reports that Allen is also looking for a British actor to co-star with Stone.
Currently, she’s filming Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s Birdman and Sony’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
As for Allen, his 2013 release will be Blue Jasmine, which stars Louis C.K., Cate Blanchett and Alec Baldwin. It is set mostly in San Francisco.
