Film producer and executive Harvey Weinstein recently had his second child with wife Georgina Chapmen of Marchesa, and revealed how they chose their new son's name on CBS This Morning.
The couple had their baby boy Dashiell on April 11, 61-year-old Weinstein explaining in the interview that the name was inspired by his first date with 37-year-old Chapman.
"What happened was...she walks into the restaurant and she trips and falls, just right on her butt. And I go, first, there is a God because that evened the playing field right away. And secondly, I said to her, 'That was the opening scene when Myrna Loy walked into William Powell in The Thin Man,'" Us Weekly reports.
The film was based on the 1934 novel by Dashiell Hammett.
Weinstein continued, "I said, 'Georgina, meet Dashiell Hammett.'" Chapman later read the book and agreed that they should name their son after him.
Weinstein has one other child with Chapman, India Pearl, 2, along with three others with ex-wife Eve Chilton, Lily, 17, Emma, 14, and Ruth, 10.
