Since 21-year-old Shain Gandee of MTV's Buckwild's death, MTV has agreed to pay for the funeral expenses, and now the Jersey Shore cast is opening up about what else should be done.
Gandee was determined to have died from carbon monoxide poisoning along with his uncle David while off-roading.
At the WWE Superstars for Sandy Relief party in New York City, fellow MTV stars Snooki Polizzi, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, and Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola expressed their sadness at young Gandee's death.
Snooki told omg! Yahoo, "Maybe they should have a benefit concert for him and his family. They should do something because Buckwild was a great show for MTV and it just sucks that one of its stars passed away. It's very sad."
Ronnie added, "I'm sure they'll do something to honor him the right way. He's actually my favorite on the show. There was something about him – I loved his personality."
Sammi followed up with some admiration of her own, stating, "I love that he wasn't afraid to be himself. He didn't care about all that technology and he was just him. I appreciated that about him."
MTV recently posted on Facebook about ways in which fans may honor Shain, including donating in his name to charities that were close to his heart.
