While visiting the Dumfries House in Ayrshire, the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton was presented with her look-alike doll. Unfortunately, Middleton was unimpressed by the doppelganger.
11-year-old Dayna Miller was thrilled to present the Duchess with her Barbie-like doll while Middleton visited Ayshire. Unfortunately, Kate was less than thrilled by the doll's appearance, reported People.
She asked Miller, “Oh no, is that me? Is that meant to be me? Does my hair really look like that?” according to The Mirror.
Luckily Miller was quick to respond and claimed, “I told her she was much prettier than the doll and her hair was not nearly so big and she laughed and seemed happy.”
“I think she was a bit shocked by the doll though,” she confessed.
The doll had been on Miller’s Christmas list and she had received her as a present from her mother.
Her mother said, “Dayna is a huge fan of the royal family and has written seven or eight letters to them and had replies from all, even the Queen.”
Despite Kate’s reaction the doll, Miller admitted, “I can't believe how nice she was though. She was just lovely. This has been the best day ever.”
