Kate Middleton married into royalty, but as she continues to show, she’s still very much down-to-earth. The 31-year-old Duchess of Cambridge is expecting her first child with husband of nearly two years, Prince William. While the world awaits the arrival of the royal baby in mid-July, the Duchess hasn’t been shy about talking about her pregnancy. One thing she is keeping to herself is whether she’s having a little prince or princess.
Nonetheless, Kate opened up about baby names during a trip to Scotland this week. She reportedly revealed that her friends are helping her come up with a list of names.
"[William and I] have a short list for both [boys and girls] but it's very difficult," she said during the visit, according to US Weekly. She added, "My friends keep texting me names."
While William and Kate are looking to their friends for name suggestions, they won’t be turning to friends for baby gifts. The Duke and Duchess will not have a baby shower since that’s “not what they do” in Great Britain.
"There is a little superstition involved," ABC’s royal reporter Victoria Arbiter told E! News. "Plus, William and Kate are very well aware they are wealthy and they don't want anything. They can afford their own stuff."
Still, William and Kate are very grateful for the gifts they have received so far. They have received many gifts, not from friends, but from well-wishers at their charity events.
