Khloe Kardashian-Odom will not return as host on 'The X Factor'

By Sarah Burbank-Douglas,

Keeping Up With The Kardashians starlet Khloe Kardashian-Odom has officially bowed out of her position as host on The X Factor after just one season, while co-host Mario Lopez will be staying on as host.

A spokesman for Fox tells E! News, “Khloé Kardashian will not be returning to co-host The X Factor. We really enjoyed working with her and wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”

The spokesman notes that Khloe’s exit will be sad as "everyone on the show had a great relationship with her and thought she was fun to work with."

Khloe will not be replaced. Instead, Lopez will host the reality competition alone.

Lopez released a statement following the news of his return, saying, "I'm looking forward to returning to The X Factor team. We're coming back stronger and better than ever and I'm excited to check out all the new talent."

Khloe previously called the show “a challenge” which followed with reports that the reality starlet would be fired. Big sister Kim slammed such reports.

In addition to Lopez’s return, Demi Lovato confirmed her return as judge alongside Simon Cowell. It is still unclear who will replace Britney Spears and L.A. Reid as judges.
