Former Disney darlings, Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens, were cordially invited to party with Hugh Hefner and his sexy playmates at the Playboy Mansion.
The gentleman’s magazine reached out to Gomez and Hudgens on Twitter, saying, “@VanessaHudgens & @SelenaGomez now have an open invitation to the next Mansion party.”
The young actresses have yet to respond to the invite, which interestingly has come a month after both Gomez and Playboy were the victim of a jaw-dropping hoax.
According to Wet Paint, a cover for the March issue circulated the internet, depicting a bare-chested Gomez “entertaining” herself.
However, the cover was proven to be a fake, mostly because Playboy saves full exposure photos for the inside of the magazine.
The men’s mag was apparently unfazed, but it’s unlikely that either Gomez or Hudgens will be at the Playboy Mansion any time soon.
Despite their seemingly effortless debauchery in Spring Breakers, the actresses revealed that their transition from tween idols to R-rated film actors was difficult but exciting.
Hudgens told Contact Music, “Definitely crossing over and being able to tackle these grittier parts was a challenge, but I feel like I've done it! It's a whole new chapter!”
And we reported earlier this month that Gomez had an emotional breakdown on set while filming the heavy party scenes.
She said, “I had a mini-breakdown on set. There was too much attention, photographers, hundreds of fans, and all of us in bikinis in the pool. I got overwhelmed doing some of the things we were doing and having such an active audience at all times, even though I knew at heart we were super-safe.”
So although Gomez and Hudgens have made a huge step towards maturity by starring in the contentious crime thriller Spring Breakers, Playboy may just be their line in the sand.
