Sara Bareilles, who was a judge on Season 3 of NBC's The Sing-Off, will not be returning to judge for the fourth season of the singing-competition show.
According to Entertainment Weekly, a source close to the “Love Song” singer stated she would rather “focus on her music.”
Bareilles joined the show after former Pussycat Dolls member Nicole Scherzinger decided to leave the show as a judge.
The Hollywood Reporter stated that host Nick Lachey and judges Ben Folds and Shawn Stockman have not yet been confirmed for the upcoming season.
Additionally, the site reported that Bareilles announced on March 27 that she would be going on a month-long tour, starting April 25, titled The Brave Enough Tour.
The a cappella talent show will have different producers than the previous seasons as Survivor's Mark Burnett has signed on to be an executive producer on the show. After announcing his involvement, Entertainment Weekly reported that he said, “The Sing-Off showcases great talent and a musical form I love. It’s very special, and we’re excited to be involved.”
Though she may be taking a break from television, the singer will appear on the April 11 episode of Community.
