Suspect in custody following ricin scare

By Sarah Burbank-Douglas,

Paul Kevin Curtis of Corinth, Mississippi has been arrested in conjunction with letters containing ricin sent to Senator Roger Wicker and President Obama.

The breaking news was announced via the Associated Press' official Twitter. “BREAKING: FBI identifies suspect in ricin letters as Paul Kevin Curtis, 45, of Corinth, Miss,” the tweet reads.

CNN reports that the arrest was made in Tupelo, Mississippi. The letters, which initially tested inconsistent and will receive official results tomorrow, read, “To see a wrong and not expose it, is to become a silent partner to its continuance. I am KC and I approve this message.”

The letter, which reportedly contains ricin, and was sent to Senator Wicker surfaced Tuesday with President Obama reportedly the next target. His letter was received the following day.

Investigators are currently attempting to find if both letters came from the same source and if additional letters are out there. FBI has since released reports that there is no related connection between the letters and Monday’s tragic bombings at the Boston Marathon.
