‘The Voice’ and ‘Castle’ help NBC and ABC dominate Monday ratings, ‘Following’ climbs

Monday’s TV ratings were mixed, with CBS taking most of the night off with repeats. ABC drew the most viewers thanks to Dancing with the Stars and Castle, while NBC was strong in the key demographic with The Voice. Over at Fox, The Following actually grew before its finale next week.

ABC averaged 12.96 million viewers on the night, but had just a 2.1 18-49 rating on the night, notes HitFix. DWTS’ first hour had 13.4 million viewers, while the second hour was up to 14.1 million. Overall, the show’s 2.1 18-49 rating was the lowest ever for a performance episode, reports EW. Castle won the 10 p.m. hour with 11.7 million viewers and a 2.2 18-49 rating.

NBC came in second with 11.325 million viewers, but easily topped ABC in the demo with a 3.9 18-49 rating. The Voice was down, but still had 13.8 million viewers and a 4.8 18-49 rating. Revolution had 6.24 million viewers and a 2.2 18-49 rating, the same as its last episode two weeks ago, notes THR. Last week’s episode was preempted by Boston coverage.

Fox had 6.92 million viewers and a 2.1 18-49 rating. Bones had 6.8 million viewers and a 1.9 18-49 rating, while Following was up to 6.97 million viewers and a 2.4 18-49 rating. The finale is next week and you can check out our last recap here.

CBS’ night of repeats had just 4.98 million viewers and a 1.3 18-49 rating. A new Rules of Engagement did air, drawing just under 5 million viewers and a 1.5 18-49 rating.

The CW’s Oh Sit! had 826,000 viewers and a 0.3 18-49 rating. While 90210 scored the same rating, it had just 592,000 viewers.
