A 22-year-old man was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday morning for trespassing on to the property that Taylor Swift recently purchased in Rhode Island.
The stalker was arrested by Westerly Police Department around 2am on Wednesday morning on the private road that Swift’s massive beach house is located on. However, other reports say police spotted him in the water outside of her house.
According to E! Online, he’s still in custody and is due in court on May 24 for the trespassing charge.
Media outlets have suggested, such as TMZ, that the stalker actually swam up to the yard of her property, but a Westerly police spokesperson couldn’t confirm that. They did say, "There is a zero policy for trespassers.”
However, sources told TMZ that the man was spotted getting out of the ocean about a mile away from Swift’s home. He allegedly told cops that he did swim up to her property but when he saw security he got scared and swam back.
