Top 10 Scissor Sister Lyrics

How do you describe Scissor Sisters? They have a little bit of pop. A touch of funk. Dashes of rock n’ roll. And a whole lot of disco. Since 2001, the band has been a time traveling spectacle, taking listeners on a tour of different genre throughout the past decades. The band’s four albums never feel stagnant as each song provides its own flavor of fabulous. In the band, you’ve got lead singer Jake Shears, the lovely Ana Matronic, guitarist and bassit Del Marquis, multi-instrumentalist Babydaddy, and drummer Randy Real. Creative names for a creative band known for their out-of-this-world live performances.

In an interview with the Washington Post, Shears said that it was their goal to keep the tradition of rock n’ roll alive: “Dressing up and wearing crazy stuff and going for it and putting on a show, that's what rock 'n' roll is all about and what it's always been about.”

Besides glamming it up, Scissors Sisters keeps the tradition alive by incorporating themes of drugs and sex (with a dash of queer culture) into their lyrics.
