'Camp' Recap: 'Harvest Moon'

The morning starts with Mack nervously and fervently cleaning her cabin in preparation for her parents’ arrival-- the founders of Camp Little Otter. Buzz, on the other hand, is excited for his grandparents to arrive.

At breakfast, an irritable Robbie wants to complain about the food to Sarah. He’s still upset she cheated on him and is looking for any reason to criticize her. Upon realizing that she quit camp, Robbie’s anger suddenly turns to shock. While the entire camp enjoys their food, Mack makes an announcement about the upcoming Harvest Moon Festival. Jack, Mack’s father, proudly shares why he started the festival and how it’s a day to focus on friends and family.

Later on in Kip’s cabin, Buzz expresses his amazement to the fact that Marina and Kip finally kissed. He is convinced that Kip will soon lose his virginity to her; Grace warns him that even though Marina likes him, there’s still a lot of ways he can mess up his chances to be with her. Kip notices her charging across camp looking upset. Marina walks into her ex-boyfriend Greg’s cabin to announce, “I think I’m pregnant!” Marina then asks him to take her to town to get a pregnancy test. Greg finds an excuse not to take her but allows her to drive herself, even though she doesn’t know how to drive. She turns to the one guy she knows would help her: Kip.

Down at the lake, Buzz and his grandpa enjoy a day of fishing, only to be interrupted by golfballs whooshing right by their faces. Turns out Roger from Ridgefield put in a driving range. Jack is furious about this and decides to declare a prank war on Ridgefield to teach them a lesson.

On the way over to the drug store, Marina and Kip get pulled over by the police. Kip admits to Marina that he actually doesn’t have a license, just a learner’s permit. He strategically confesses to the cop that although he doesn’t have his license, he does have cancer. The cop feels bad for Kip and offers to take him and Marina to the drug store. By the time they get there, the store has already closed and it begins to rain. Kip then suggests that they should get a motel room with the $500 he won in a recent dart tournament.

Back at camp, Robbie, Buzz, Jack and Cole sneak over to Rigefield to interrupt Roger’s seminar on the opening of a new Ridgefiled lodge in Alaska. They let a dozen goats loose all over Rigdefield to ruin Roger’s proposal and they run away feeling victorious. Suddenly, Robbie runs into his ex-girlfriend Sarah wearing a Ridgefield uniform and serving drinks. She informs him that she quit Little Otter and moved to Ridgefield to get away from him.

Back at the motel room, Kip and Marina enjoy all the luxuries of a working air conditioner, personal restroom, and a clean bed. They settle into bed ready to sleep and Marina admits that although she kissed Kip, she’s happy just being with him. Kip agrees that he genuinely enjoys spending time with her. Marina then remembers why they’re there and is terrified that she may actually be pregnant. Kip assures her that tomorrow they will get a test and it will come back negative.

Robbie, Buzz, Cole, and Jack wake up the next morning to find that Ridgefield pranked them back-- turning off hot water, unhinging doors, and stealing the Little Otter mascot. They decide to take the prank war to the next level and steal Roger’s prized stallion.

On the way over, Robbie sees Sarah once again and is determined to confront her. He follows her into the gym and demands to know why she cheated on him. Her reasoning was that she wanted to, but that she is genuinely sorry she hurt Robbie, not sorry that she cheated.

Cole, Buzz and Jack manage to steal Falcore, Roger’s horse. As Jack rides away and Buzz runs back to camp, Cole runs into Roger and the two have a little chat. Roger pushes Cole’s buttons by telling him that he had sex with Mack and that Cole doesn’t have any chance of being with her. He finishes by threatening to beat him up if his horse isn’t returned in an hour. Mack and Buzz then find Jack and ask where he hid Falcore. Jack then becomes flustered and upset, he calls Mack the wrong name and tells off Buzz for cheating on his daughter. They realize that his memory is starting to slip away from him and that he might have alzheimer’s.

When Marina and Kip finally get to the drug store they unluckily get robbed at gunpoint. The robbers realize Marina may be pregnant and ask if Kip’s the dad. He tells them he’s not. The robbers tell Marina that Kip’s a good guy for sticking with her and that she’s lucky to have him.

Back at camp, the whole gang is searching for Falcore. Cole and Robbie set out to find him, but Robbie is still complaining about Sarah. Cole slaps him right in the face and tells him to move on-- what's done is done. Meanwhile, Mack goes off with Roger and she confides in him that she’s terrified for her father who can’t even remember where he hid the horse. Roger comforts her that everything will be alright and that he is lucky to have a supportive daughter like Mack. Just then, Buzz and Grace miraculously come riding in on Falcore. The horse has been saved!

Making their way back from the bus stop to camp, Marina asks Kip why he’s so upset with her. He expresses his frustration with her that she had sex with Greg. Marina admits that she is an idiot. Kip tells her she’s not and that he can’t be mad at her; he finally tells her, “I love you” and even proposes to her. He lets her know that he’ll love her no matter what, pregnant or not. Marina tells Kip he is “the best person I’ve ever met,” and confidently takes her pregnancy test which comes back negative.

At sunset, Mack and her dad decide that it’s time for him to see a specialist. Even though he’s losing his memory, he can’t forget how proud he is of Mack. The night quickly arrives and all of camp is enjoying the Harvest Moon Festival. Sneaking away from the festivities, Cole approaches Roger about a job opportunity in Alaska away from Camp Little Otter. Everyone enjoys the festival and Kip lets Marina know that his proposal still stands.
