Demi Lovato is joining the cast of Glee for the show’s fifth season.
The cast is experiencing many changes this season, since the death of star Cory Monteith, but the show is going on.
According to MTV, Lovato is playing a friend that Rachel Berry and Santana, played by Lea Michele and Naya Rivera, made in college. She is reportedly scheduled for at least six episodes.
Adam Lambert will also play a guest role on the series this season. The two will interact often and sing together on the show, TV Line reported.
It’s not a secret that the “Made in the USA” singer and American Idol winner can belt it out, and songs performed on the show often top the charts. Glee albums have consistently ranked in the top 5 on iTunes and will surely continue to do so with the addition of the two stars.
While this season brings many changes, the Huffington Post reported that Fox executive Kevin Reilly does not currently anticipate the show going past season 6.
